Sasha Josette is a political strategist, organizer and movement builder who has spent more than twenty years exploring a question that has shaped much of her work: how do people and communities build enough collective power to shape the political and economic decisions that affect their lives?

She has worked across electoral campaigns, strategic communications, community organizing and people-led climate and economic policymaking across the UK and Europe. At the heart of it is a belief that lasting political change cannot simply be designed in institutions and delivered to communities; it has to be built by working class people, rooted in their lived experience and leadership.

Sasha led the Green Industrial Revolution movement-building work within the UK Labour Party’s first Community Organising Unit, connecting working-class communities, trade unions and grassroots organizations with the development of national climate and industrial policy. Outside the Party she co-founded The World Transformed Festival and Momentum Kids. She later co-founded Breathe, a climate organizing initiative designed to test new ways of building power with working class communities often excluded from the climate movement, and served as Director of Organizing and Communications at the European Community Organisers Network, working with organizers and civil society organizations across 14 European countries.

More recently, working with Digidem Sweden, she conceived and developed Sweden’s first community organizing training, including its organizing curriculum and political education program and also Co-Director of the Working-Class Climate Alliance.
