The Democracy Collaborative and The Centre for Health & Social Equity (CHASE) at Northumbria University cordially invite you to the launch of the UK Index of Systemic Trends 2026.
This will also be CHASE's inaugural Policy Seminar, marking the launch of a new series that will bring four major policy events to City Campus East each year.
The Index of Systemic Trends is a dashboard developed by The Democracy Collaborative that charts the health of Britain's political economy across indicators including economic growth, inequality and poverty, productivity, financialization, life expectancy, trust in government and environmental degradation.
The Democracy Collaborative chose Northumbria as the launch venue to bring the Index to a national audience beyond London.
This seminar will include a lively discussion between Northumbria's Professor Howard Reed (also Senior Fellow at The Democracy Collaborative), The Democracy Collaborative's Global Lead for Community Wealth Building Neil McInroy, and two community leaders to be announced. It will be moderated by Professor Matthew Johnson, CHASE Co-Director (Policy).
